About roestprofile

Do you sometimes think: “The internet is full of information, but it’s rarely the right, the good, the useful stuff?” Especially for career changers and those interested in products, it can often be frustrating to get answers to the most pressing questions about coffee. Or just to educate yourself.

No question about it: the internet is great. It offers a lot of information, but sometimes there is just too much of it. Too much of the wrong information, too much of the bad information, too much of the vague information, often too much of guesswork. We want less of that!

Because: it’s no fun that way.

Curiosity and the desire to learn are wonderful and positive things. Setting out to become smarter, to have eureka moments, to understand more and to delve deeper into the world of coffee!

We want more of that!

Finally finding the right information, authentic and inspiring interviews, well-researched background knowledge, first-hand reports, good examples of how others have solved tricky tasks, encouraging reports or simply an unbiased view. And that’s where you’ll find the roestprofile. Made in Northern Germany, where a simple “Moin” contains so much more than you might think.

These things are important to us at roestprofile. Do they matter to you too?
Judge for yourself.

Double-checked
Do you like reliable information that has been double-checked? We do too. That’s why we always like to go “straight to the source”, as they say, wherever possible.
Good sources
You get information from first-class sources: From specialist and non-fiction books from Germany and abroad, from current and established studies, from the experiences of colleagues.
Sustainable
A much-used word these days. For you, it means you get well-thought-out texts, vivid graphics and valuable content. For us, it means less trend and more substance, which lasts beyond the day.
Independent
You are never completely independent, but we try to keep the dependencies as low as possible. In terms of content, we have the last word and anything that does not fit factually and technically will not be “printed”. For us, independence also means publishing with our own publishing house and that the technology belongs to us (WordPress theme) and is within reach (hosting in Leipzig).
Constructive solutions
Do you also think that there are already many solutions, you just have to find them? That’s how we see it, and we find solutions that move things forward and with them you. We prefer to look ahead.

Who are we, actually?

We believe we offer you a unique combination of coffee expertise and media expertise.
Thomas has been working in the coffee industry since 2005. He loves learning, whether it’s on his own initiative or from the more than 14,000 participants in his courses. As a juror in the globally established “Cup of Excellence” competition, he has had countless coffees on his spoon and professionally evaluated them.
He gained his roasting experience by setting up his own coffee roastery, winning the German Roasting Championship twice, and taking on numerous consultancy assignments for large and small coffee companies.

Nadine has always done “something with media” since 2000. She trained as a publishing manager at the Handelsblatt in Düsseldorf and studied journalism at the well-known Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Her thesis is still often cited and explains Nadine’s urge for scientific sources. Her love for digital and social media began in 2008 and continues to this day. She loves books, especially in English or Dutch.
